Your adventure begins with a helicopter departure from Strathalbyn (with optional pickups from Hahndorf or Adelaide Airport), taking in South Australia's picturesque landscapes.  

Soar above the rolling vineyards of McLaren Vale and the stunning coastline of the Fleurieu Peninsula, before touching down at Fleurieu Gin, the regions newest and most iconic gin distillery nestled in Myponga. Established in 2021 by Shane and Kylie Magor, Fleurieu Gin has quickly become a beacon for gin enthusiasts, celebrated for its handcrafted, small-batch gins that capture the essence of the region. The distillery offers a warm and inviting atmosphere, making it the perfect spot to unwind and explore. 

Upon arrival, you'll be welcomed with a curated gin flight, allowing you to sample a range of their award-winning spirits. Each gin reflects the unique terroir of the Fleurieu Peninsula, crafted with a blend of traditional and native botanicals. To complement your tasting experience, indulge in a three-course meal featuring locally sourced ingredients. Choose between an entrée paired with a gourmet pizza or a pizza followed by dessert, created specifically to enhance the unique flavours of the gins. 

After your leisurely two-hour visit, it's time to take to the skies in your private helicopter for a scenic return flight, offering a final opportunity to take in the breathtaking views of South Australia's diverse landscapes. This experience seamlessly blends adventure, luxury, and the rich flavours of the Fleurieu Peninsula, promising memories that will linger long after the journey ends.

Flight Route:  Start your journey from Strathalbyn, with a scenic flight to Fleurieu Gin and then back along the coastline and over McLaren Vale, returning to your starting location.  

Pick up / drop off location: South Australian Helicopters (optional extra at checkout for departure from Hahndorf)

What you need to know... 

·      A maximum individual weight of 136kg, maximum combined weight of 3 passengers is 270kg. 

·     Minimum of 2 people, Maximum 3 per flight. 

·     We fly with the front doors off! Pending the weather, we always fly with our doors off, as we’ve found that the open-air flight adds another level to the experience! If you’d prefer to fly with doors on, please let us know a minimum of 24 hours prior to your departure date. 

·     We are able to provide Adelaide Airport and Hahndorf helicopter transfers, with this being an add on cost at check out for relevant experiences.  

·     We can also provide recommendations for car transfers, as we do not include transfers to the starting location as part of this experience, unless it is selected as an add on option at checkout or you email us to arrange this direct. 

·     We are able to provide a custom price for accommodation pick up and drop off for your experience, as well as longer flights or personalised experiences. Please email info@southaustralianhelicopters.com.au
