Your day kicks off at The Lane Vineyard, where you’ll begin with a curated wine tasting showcasing their premium cool-climate wines, paired with award-wining chef-prepared bites. Step outside, where your private helicopter is waiting. Buckle up, feel the adrenaline rush as the rotors spin, and lift off for an unforgettable flight over the breathtaking Adelaide Hills. Below, rolling vineyards, winding country roads, and lush farmland create a spectacular patchwork of colour as you head toward your first stop. 

With your tastebuds and senses awakened, you’re ready for your next destination – Lot 100. 

Lot 100 is a collaboration of some of South Australia’s finest producers, and is a haven for craft beverages and rustic, farm-to-table dining. Here, you’ll enjoy a beer or cider flight, exploring unique brews made with locally sourced ingredients. Enjoy woodfired pizza’s for lunch, showcasing the best of South Australian produce in a setting that blends industrial charm with the natural beauty of the region.   

With a couple of drinks under your belt, lift off for the final leg of the journey, following the scenic route to Ambleside Distillers. Specialising in handcrafted small-batch gin, Ambleside is known for its use of native botanicals and a fresh, contemporary approach to distilling. Here, you’ll enjoy a guided tasting flight, sampling their signature gins alongside a locally sourced platter to round out the experience.   

Finally, buckle up for the grand finale, a hot lap helicopter flight back to where it all began at The Lane Vineyard, giving you one last chance to take in the breathtaking landscape from above.

The Finer Details

Cost: $1,490 per person 

Experience Duration: 5 hours 

Timing: 11:00am – 4:00pm (approximately) 

Experience Dates: We operate 4 days per week, departing daily from Thursday - Sunday 

Flight Route:  Start your journey from The Lane in Hahndorf, going on a tasting journey that is sure to excite the senses and after a day well spent, return back to The Lane where the day concludes.

Arrival: Please arrive to The Lane at your experience start time and let staff know that you are there for the Elevated Tasting Flight. 

Note: Slight variations to the experience may be made dependent on weather.  

What you need to know... 

·      We can accommodate groups of 2-6 people. Our R44 seats 3 passengers, so for bookings of 4 or more, we will operate with 2 trips to each location, with 3 passengers on board each flight. 

·     On arrival at The Lane Vineyard, you'll be greeted by their friendly staff who will be expecting you. You’ll then enjoy a tasting flight prior to your private helicopter transfer, arriving to take you to destination number two. 

·     A maximum individual weight of 136kg, maximum combined weight of 3 passengers is 270kg. 

·     Minimum of 2 people, Maximum 3 per flight. 

·     We fly with the front doors off! Pending the weather, we always fly with our doors off, as we’ve found that the open-air flight adds another level to the experience! If you’d prefer to fly with doors on, please let us know a minimum of 24 hours prior to your departure date.

·     We are able to provide Adelaide Airport and Hahndorf helicopter transfers, with this being an add on cost at check out for relevant experiences.  

·     We can also provide recommendations for car transfers, as we do not include transfers to the starting location as part of this experience, unless it is selected as an add on option at checkout or you email us to arrange this direct. 

·     We are able to provide a custom price for accommodation pick up and drop off for your experience, as well as longer flights or personalised experiences. Please email info@southaustralianhelicopters.com.au
