Your adventure kicks off with a helicopter departure from Strathalbyn (optional extra at checkout for departure from Hahndorf), soaring over South Australia’s countryside on a scenic flight to The Bend Motorsport Park. Touch down and step straight into the action as you get behind the wheel for a high-speed driving experience on the professional-grade track. After the rush of the track, it’s time to switch gears and unwind. Head to Apex Bar & Restaurant, where you’ll enjoy a delicious meal with trackside views, the perfect setting to relive the experience and soak in the atmosphere of one of Australia’s top racing venues.   

As the day winds down, your adventure isn’t over just yet. Board your private helicopter for a final breathtaking flight, taking one last look at the world-class circuit from above before making your way back to your starting location.

Flight Route:  Start your journey from Strathalbyn and enjoy a scenic flight to The Bend at Tailem Bend and then back to your starting location.  

Pick up / drop off location: South Australian Helicopters (optional extra at checkout for departure from Hahndorf)

Note: Slight variations to the experience may be made dependent on weather.  

What you need to know... 

·      A maximum individual weight of 136kg, maximum combined weight of 3 passengers is 270kg. 

·     We can accommodate groups of 2-6 people. Our R44 seats 3 passengers, so for bookings of 4 or more, we will operate with 2 trips to each location, with 3 passengers on board each flight. 

·     Your experience is subject to The Bend Motorsport Park booking Terms & Conditions as well as South Australian Helicopters. By booking this experience you agree to both. 

·     We fly with the front doors off! Pending the weather, we always fly with our doors off, as we’ve found that the open-air flight adds another level to the experience! If you’d prefer to fly with doors on, please let us know a minimum of 24 hours prior to your departure date. 

·     We are able to provide Adelaide Airport and Hahndorf helicopter transfers, with this being an add on cost at check out for relevant experiences.  

·     We can also provide recommendations for car transfers, as we do not include transfers to the starting location as part of this experience, unless it is selected as an add on option at checkout or you email us to arrange this direct. 

·     We are able to provide a custom price for accommodation pick up and drop off for your experience, as well as longer flights or personalised experiences. Please email info@southaustralianhelicopters.com.au 

·     Please read the terms and conditions of our flights prior to booking. In booking, you agree to these terms and conditions and will also be sent an electronic waiver upon booking confirmation that is required to be complete prior to your departure.
